My Beloved Italsider
Italsider, among the most important steel plant throughout the last century, located in Naples, Italy, is still awiting full redevelopment since its decommissioning in 1992. At the hapex of its growth in the 70's, it reached an area of 2'000'000 square meters with more than 8'000 employees. Now, it lies in a state of total abandonment.
Over three decades, several recovery projects have been funded without, however, giving back to the city the gigantic part occupied by the old plant.
Chimneys, furnaces and warehouses stand still in the empty wasteland.
